VELPONT: THE BRIDGE TO YOUR NEXT PRECAST GROWTH ENGINE
Velpont combines straightforward modular design, fast installation with non-specialized machinery, and architectural-grade wet cast concrete durability. Produce a practical, repeatable bridge solution built to perform for decades.
A Modular System Crafted with Modular Equipment
Velpont launches with high-grade North American steel forms fitted with industry-leading polyurethane texture molds for abutment and corner blocks, providing manufacturers a smart and profitable entry point into bridge substructure production.
Additional forms are being developed to complete the system. These include forms for foundation blocks, slab beams, backwall and coping units, and are expected to be available in late 2026 or early 2027.

Abutment Block Forms
The 4 ft (1.2 m) and 8 ft (2.4 m) abutment forms can be joined to produce 12 ft (3.6 m) and 16 ft (4.8 m) blocks, allowing all four abutment block lengths to be produced with a practical equipment investment.

Corner Block Forms
Dedicated 90° and 45° corner block forms enable production of corner units that integrate with the abutment, increasing strength, providing clean wing wall transitions, and allowing for varied crossing geometries.
Why Produce Velpont?
Tens of thousands of reasons exist to join the Velpont manufacturing network. That’s how many North American crossings are estimated to need immediate replacement or upgrade, representing one of the region’s largest infrastructure supply opportunities today.

Supplying a System
Producing Velpont moves your plant beyond commodity precast into engineered bridge substructures. It positions you as an infrastructure partner supplying modular systems, not just individual units, strengthening your credibility with engineers, contractors, and project owners.
Reinvention Not Required
Velpont leverages architectural-grade wet cast concrete production and modular steel forms. If you already precast, you can extend into bridge substructure production using familiar processes, without overhauling operations or investing in entirely new production models.
Repeatable Revenue
Velpont isn’t a commodity unit. It’s a system. The interlocking design, hollow core efficiency, and DOT-aligned durability enable you to sell something built for highly repeatable installations and long-term performance, resulting in handsome margins.
Eco-Driven Demand
Conservation groups are actively bringing crossing replacement projects to municipalities and landowners, advocating for eco-friendly replacements, and helping unlock grant funding. Supply a system aligned with restoration priorities and Stream Smart–style initiatives.
A Network Bridging the Globe
Aster Brands, Velpont’s parent company, isn’t new to the precast world. They’ve been connecting growth-minded entrepreneurs for the past 25+ years.

Combining Forms = Different Blocks
At least two forms and a conversion kit are required to produce 12- and 16-ft abutment blocks.

One HPU (Hydraulic Power Unit) is also needed for production of all units.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are Velpont abutment blocks manufactured?
Velpont abutment blocks are produced by pouring architectural-grade wet cast concrete into modular steel forms. Rebar frames or cages are placed within the forms before filling to provide additional reinforcement. The concrete cures and the blocks are extracted from the forms, ready to be installed.
How are Velpont abutment blocks removed from their forms?
Velpont abutment block forms feature hydraulic cylinders to safely open the side doors. Once the doors are opened and the blocks are released from the form's sides, the blocks are extracted from the form by a crane or excavator using chains attached to lifting hooks embedded in the blocks.
